My First Breakdown/ belly

Everything is going great so far. 24 weeks down, 16 to go!

I had my first official crazy pregnant lady breakdown. It was pretty much ridiculous. Dane and I had his work Christmas party to go to at Rockledge Gardens. It was a casual party most of the people were still in their work clothes, just pizza and beer.

Well I start to get ready and what happens? I have NOTHING to wear. My jeans don't fit me and all the shirts I have are from my sister who was pregnant in the summer. So I somehow come to the conclusion that I can not wear a summery shirt (even though it is 80 degrees outside) and jeans that don't fit me. If it was one or the other it would be fine, just not both.

So what do I do you ask? I start crying, and I mean bawling. I can't stop, even though I know that I am being totally stupid. I keep telling Dane how "I don't want to be a crazy pregnant lady, I am so sorry."

I finally stopped crying, even though I still wasn't dressed and ready to go. I was sitting on the computer thinking, trying to figure out the solution to this huge problem, and it starts all over again. The tears start flowing and I simply cannot figure what we should do.

Needless to say Dane says come on lets go, and I get in the car and make a quick trip to Ross, to find something to wear. I ended up getting a really cute dress for $15!

Long story short, I have know idea why my head was processing this "problem" the way it did, all I can do is blame all those stinking Publix commercials that started the flow of the water works earlier in the day.

Tropical Storm Fay, BOAT RACE

So during Tropical Storm Fay, a couple months ago, our street was flooded so we couldn't go anywhere. What better to do than have an aluminum foil boat race? We used and old pizza box, some aluminum foil, tape and staples. We actually spent a good half hour or so building our boats, and probably another half hour playing outside in the rain. Here is how it went:

Dane's finished boat, very nice, stable, little sail

My boat, not very stable, but huge sail to catch the wind

on your mark... get set... go!

my boat sank right away, as you can see Dane's
actually worked! not bad. Cooper making an appearance while
trying to push me in the water

my dripping wet boat, Dane's boat, still sailing!

Belly and Paint

here are some belly updates, and i am standing in the baby room so that is the wall color. Dane says it seems like we should paint fish on the wall. We love how it came out. and it looks great with all the bedding and crib.

20 weeks, My shirt is not very tight so I look lumpy

quilt, walls, contrast of the door/trim against the walls!

22 weeks from the front

22 weeks from the side!

I feel like i get bigger every day. I am still in that weird maternity pant fit funny but my jeans are too small for my belly stage. So I pretty much am really glad for the warm enough for a dress weather!

BABY GIRL!

Well we had our first ultrasound and ITS A GIRL! She is almost exact to the day with her measurements and all of her organs and such are working as they should be. It seriously was the coolest thing getting to see her move around, it makes every thing so real!
top of her head, and her knees bent up by her face
profile of her face, not too clear she was smashed
up against the top of my uterus

Dane and I have also begun working on the nursery! It is painted, we have a crib, I have made a bed skirt and quilt, and we have a rug!

fabric details from the quilt, the colors are not very girls so I am using the butterflies from the cream and brown fabric as my inspiration for decoration.

a blurry image of the whole quilt...you get the idea
the rug, art work that i have made so far, and the quilt against the wall color!

back of the quilt, the coral color on the front comes
from the fabric on the back, you just cant see it.
